Music is a strong tradition at St Margaret’s.
Our fabulous Johannus Rembrandt 3 manual organ is used to great effect in the magnificent church surroundings.
We have hosted many musical events in the recent past.
The famous Alteri Choir are regular performers here. We have hosted christmas concerts, baroque concerts and premiered contemporary sung compositions alongside the choir.
Organ recitals are regular features of our musical activities.
Our Director of Music composes music for our services. Most notably our sung setting for the Eucharist is unique to St Margaret’s and penned by him.
Orchestral performances by both adult and child musicians are regular dates.
We are presently exploring how to bring a more diverse cultural activities to our church.
An example of this was our recent hosting of ‘A Fisherman and his soul’ by Oscar Wilde which was performed by the Found Theatre Company.
